Deliverable D1.1 - Applicable rules and recommendations for the risk management
Abstract:
This document describes the activities involved in the survey of vessel hulls from the viewpoint of maritime professionals. Selected use cases are initially defined to focus the investigation of the procedures currently in place for human surveyors and the guidelines (as given by some Classification Societies) for the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for the collection of visual data during ship hull inspection.
The final section of this deliverable describes the risk assessment of the activities related to ship hull survey activities, as applicable for human operators. This description is the first part of the risk assessment for the use of RAS in the field, which aims in the identification of potential hazards emerging from the environment of the ship. The risk assessment for the use of RAS in the area of ship hull inspections will be continued during the following activities of WP1 and the results will be documented in the next two deliverables (D1.2 and D1.3).
